1. Why We Built Community Places

For the past few months, Local City Walk has been hyper-focused on giving small businesses an elite ecosystem to rival corporate chains. But a city is defined by more than just its storefronts.

What about that incredible hidden waterfall just outside of town? What about the historical statues downtown? What about the best public dog park in your neighborhood?

Today, we launch Community Places—a dedicated portal designed specifically to crowd-source and index non-commercial landmarks.

2. How It Works (Zero-Friction Mapping)

We've stripped out the friction entirely. When you hit the [Add A Place] button on our homepage, you are directed to a specialized Community Submission node.

You don't need to be a business owner. You don't need to fill out complex verification forms. Just tell us the Name, drop a quick description, and provide an address. Our backend geocoding engine will instantly fire, process the latitude and longitude, and permanently embed the location onto our Nationwide Radar.

Whenever users nearby open the app, your submitted hidden gem will magically populate on their local grid.

3. Gamification: Level Up Your Explorer Profile

To make building the map fun, we have integrated Community Places directly into our Gamification Engine.

Every time you successfully map a new location, your account is immediately credited with +100 XP. This helps you level up your Explorer Rank on our platform. The first users to document iconic locations in their zip code will cement their legacy as the primary contributor for those areas.

4. What Should You Add?

The beauty of this system is that it's open-ended. If it's a physical location worth visiting, it belongs on the map.

  • Nature & Trails: Hidden hiking spots, beautiful lookout points, local lakes, and community gardens.
  • Historical Landmarks: Statues, localized museums, and protected historical architecture.
  • Community Hangouts: Public sports courts, dog parks, and prime picnic spots.
  • Entertainment Arts: Street mural alleys, public stages, and prominent local art installations.

Help us map the unspoken beauty of your city. Your favorite spot could be exactly what a traveler is looking for.
